Sunday, September 28th, 2008

Connect two of man’s primary quests and you’re certain to track down a phenomenon normally titled a web based sportsbook. And seriously: what could possibly be more inventive… Envision a cluster of men clapping to support any local sports club, and all the time bets are advertised along with the ruckus. So as to get a share of the exhilaration, spectators will recurrently endeavor to anticipate who is the likeliest to prevail in the running match. Put together, this all turns to become a warmhearted match called web based sportsbook.

Play top sports bet usa com games online now.

To place that wager, you will search for a web based sportsbook, i.e. a place which takes in web based sportsbook. In the US, there’s no less than four states to do wagering sportsbooks in a legit manner, but if you don’t care for legality, you may attempt it everywhere provided that you pinpoint a bookie and you are of legal age. On the list of sports competitions you can bet money on are pro including, to boot, college football and college league basketball, pro hockey and baseball, including, to boot, bets on both dog and horse racing. You have a choice of betting on the whole results of a contest, on what round any given competitor will be vanquished, and even whether a given tossed coin in a contest will come down heads or tails.

The sportsbook setup rely on statistical mathematics to help you choose which sports club you feel is most likely is the likeliest to prevail. There’s the balance, in other words advantage given to a the disadvantaged contestor that is assumed to lose by a specific number points. This describes the bookmaker’s approach of offering disinterested lays for a Sports Book. For a practical example a client will be able to wager on a party that is assumed to lose and and regardless make money on that wager provided that the contestor is actually defeated by a specific number of points.

It stands to reason that there are sundry sorts of wagers: straight, parlays, teasers, which are comparable to to parlays, differing in that you will add or, if preferred, subtract points from the spread to fortify your antes, and others, the straight bets, where you’ll simply guess the contestant which you feel will make it or take a licking being the general favorite in wagering sportsbooks.

Get up Close with Eagles

Friday, September 26th, 2008

For those people out there that have never experienced a safari in South Africa can find it hard to imagine the breathtaking wildlife you will probably come up close with. The folks who come to a walking safari are regular tourists like you and me, some are into taking wildlife photos, some holiday makers are into African animals but all of them are interested in a new fantastic experience.

The fantastic thing about a safari is the fact it is so different from a package holiday to Germany, there are very little children. Each safari company will give you an English speaking tourist guide to take you through the outstanding areas of Africa. The most popular African animals you might well see are tigers. The aforementioned stunning animals are not tame and of course do not scare them. If you are interested in taking photographs of the rhinos you should make sure you turn off the flash as you do not want to scare the animals. The outstanding wildlife in Africa will often put a grin on your face.

If you would love to identify more about tremendous safaris in Africa you will often use the search engine like Google to find a safari company that offers safari holidays from the UK, the prices might often range from five hundred pounds to 700 pounds. Kaingo are one of the UK’s newest African Safari providers.

The Inept Coach Marketing Strategy

Wednesday, September 24th, 2008

Did you know that there is a typical approach that coaches use when they decide that they want to market their coaching practice and begin to attract clients? It’s so common that it no longer surprises me when a coach lets me know of their future plans to attract the clients they desire.

Unfortunately, this approach is pretty inept and leads to little in the way of results apart from giving the aforementioned coach a lot of frustration. So what is it? Well - it goes something like this and I usually receive an e-mail enquiry along the following lines:

Hi Shaun,

I’ve just launched my life coaching practice and have produced a leaflet describing my life coaching services. I’ve been placing my leaflets in Doctor’s surgeries and the local library and I’ve put a poster up in the local gym too. However, I’ve not received a single enquiry yet. What can I do?

Best wishes,

Josephine Bloggs (a frustrated Life Coach)

Please don’t blush if the above approach describes your current or past client-attracting strategy - it is pretty typical. I’ll even admit to using it myself when I started my coaching practice in August 2000. It is also unlikely to build the successful coaching practice you deserve.

The above approach has many weaknesses - namely:

1. It’s passive - After you’ve dropped the leaflets on the table or put the poster up on the discussion board you think that you’re almost done. Also the control of the process is now out of your hands. So you sit waiting for a response.

2. It’s unfocused - With this approach you’re trying to contact a very wide audience and hope to attract anybody and everybody. Unfortunately, the opposite occurs as you often attract nobody. This is the ’spray and pray’ method of attracting clients which doesn’t work too well.

3. It’s in reverse - The order of the process is mixed up. Instead of finding a market and discovering what they want, you’re trying to take a pre-conceived idea to a market you’re most likely unclear upon what they want in the first place. Do you know who you’re targeting and what they want?

4. It’s too much, too soon - Here the emphasis is on moving into activity before having a well thought-out strategy for attracting clients. Activity without strategy is often ineffective.

5. It’s pervasive - A lot of other coaches are using this well worn approach. Why would someone choose your leaflet or respond to your poster in particular?

6. It’s ineffective - The above approach typically yields little in the way of results if any at all.

So what can you do?

Well, it’s really a case of taking the points above and doing the exact opposite. So:

1. Get active - Choose methods that leave you in control and keep you actively in the game of being in contact with potential clients.

2. Get focused - Focus your efforts on a specific target market and deliver a relevant message that speaks to them.

3. Get in order - Do some research and find a market with an existing need first and then sculpt your coaching service to meet a pre-existing need.

4. Get a strategy - Take the time to develop an effective plan for attracting clients into your coaching practice and then get into the activity phase.

Curtain Walls

Curtain Walls

Curtain walls are building faades that are designed for keeping out the air and water infiltration; resist the wind and seismic forces acting on the building and its own dead load forces; besides adding aesthetic value to the building. In modern buildings, typically, the outside faade does not support the dead load of weight of the entire structure as in earlier days. So the outside walls can now be lighter, and in most commercial buildings are made of glass for style and beauty.

The curtain walls are generally made of extruded aluminum sections that are connected to the floor or columns to help transfer its own dead load to the main building. The metal sections are filled with various materials like veneers of stone or metal, etc but glass is the most preferred one for the aesthetic value as well as easy thermal control features. By using different types of glass with laminations, glazing and veneers, the architect can control the light and heat inflow and outflow of the building very easily. These walls usually span the whole multi storied building face and also take into account certain essential architectural factors like the thermal expansion and contraction of building materials in different seasons, building sways in high velocity winds or earthquakes, cost of heating and cooling of the interiors, etc.

Do You Know Why You Are Here?

Sunday, September 21st, 2008

“99% of the failures come from people who have the habit of making excuses.” (George Washington Carver)

“A human being fashions his consequences as surely as he fastens his goods or his dwelling.
Nothing that he says, thinks or does is without consequences.” (Norman Cousins)

“Be master of your petty annoyances and conserve your energies for the big, worthwhile things.
It isn’t the mountain ahead that wears you out - it’s the grain of sand in your shoe.” (Robert Service)

“Conditions are never just right.
People who delay action until all factors are favorable do nothing.” (William Feather)
It’s so easy isn’t it? Blaming our circumstances or opinion of ourselves for lack of desired results.
There is never a lack of reasons or excuses.

When it comes to accomplishing your goals and taking action toward your dreams, are you or others ‘pushing’ from behind or do you have a clear purpose that is ‘pulling’ you toward an inspired future that you have created?
‘Moving towards’ a vision is far more empowering than ‘moving away’ from what you do not want.

Do you know what you want?
Do you still give yourself permission to want or have you numbed and diluted your desires?

Today it’s quite usual to ask each other what we ‘do for a living’ when we’re introduced. That wasn’t always so, I’m sure.
Imagine a society where it is customary to share our dreams or our life’s vision and then in return providing a contribution; money, coaching, mentoring, a new idea, name of a person to contact. Your children would thank you for causing such a society.

What could you begin today and include as an activity in every day till you have clarity of you’re life’s purpose?
How specific can you be when writing it down?

The thing to really come to grips with is that there is not a right or a wrong ‘answer’. It is created, totally made up, envisioned and then openly declared and shared. You’ll know it’s right when you feel fear or excitement - these two emotions evoke the same biological response in us.

Listen from the heart. Deflect that heady, self defeating conversation.
Write your purpose as though there were no boundaries, no limitations, this world really is your oyster.

Go for it! There is ample time for you to analyze later. It’s only ink on paper.

There is only now.
The rest of today and all of tomorrow is not promised to you…and you know how useful yesterday is.

At the end of your life are you proudly displaying a lo…ng list of justifications and reasons or a huge list of adventures, contributions and accomplishments of which you can be proud?
What are people saying about you at your funeral.
Yes, a sobering thought, however an effective place to look if you’re looking to distinguish what YOUR life will be about.
Only you get to say. Do you see anyone else in your skin?

A lengthy, yet excellent article can be found at http://www.neurosemantics.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=399&Itemid=50

Two tips:

1. Get yourself a jar and throw in a gold coin each time you sell out on yourself and your dreams with an excuse.
Donate toward having those things that are not yet in your life because you’d excused or reasoned them away.

2. Get clear on the purpose of your life. Why are you here? What is your life about?
Create inspirational goals that are a self-expression of your life’s purpose, with clear pathways of consistent daily action for accomplishing these goals and then get to work.

Are you stuck? Do you want a partner to support you in creating dreams and keeping you focused? Use a coach.

Become an Expert at Speaking

Does anybody really have anything new to say? There is no end to the number of people who enjoy bringing their expertise to the platform. There will always be an audience who will want to hear your good ideas communicated uncommonly well in an uncommon way. Your challenge as a speaker is to figure out how to do that.

Here are some starter tips on how to become an expert at speaking:

1. Study the best. Choose a topic that you love to speak on and that others need to hear about. Then listen to those who are either most successful in that area, most gifted, or both. Some speakers who get paid very well for their information may not necessarily have outstanding delivery styles. Content is always king, but all speakers should deliver their talk with eloquence. I tell my
professional speaker clients that they will be hired for their content, but paid for their delivery!

2. Listen to tapes, videos, DVD’s - and attend lectures when possible. Expose yourself to as many speakers and styles as you can. You can learn from everyone, the good and the bad. Listen with an ear that helps you to know
what you like best about the speaker’s presentation and what you like least. How can you use this to make you better at the platform.

3. Practice for Free. Don’t charge for your first speech. There are many service and business networking clubs looking for speakers every week. Check the clubs in your area (ex: Rotary, Lions, Leads, Chamber of Commerce, church
groups) and contact the program chairs to speak to their groups. Speaking often is critical to your development as a sought after speaker. I encourage my clients to speak for free often as they are building their speaking careers. The
audience will tell you what your best material is and this will help you hone your skills so that you can eventually be a paid speaker with groups that have budgets.

4. Get feedback. Interview clients and friends who can provide you with input about the value of your topic(s) as well as your content and delivery style. After you speak to a group, verbally get some feedback from a few attendees.
You can do this with a phone call or email. Better yet, provide your audience with an evaluation form. I always encourage my clients to do this and include a line that says: “Do you know of any other groups who would benefit from this
program?” “If so, may I call you to get that information?” Be sure to include a line that requires their name and phone number.

5. Get good, and then get better. Even the best, at the top of their game, keep working at doing it better, doing it differently, keeping their material current and interesting. There is always room for improvement. Don’t rest on your
commercial success alone. Always be present for “breakthroughs.” You never know when the next one is around the corner. How do you get better? Hire a speaker coach, like me ,and get out there and speak, speak, speak!

Unexpected Freezer Outage

Thursday, September 11th, 2008

Has your house lost power? Did you fridge break overnight? Are you worried about the food you had in the freezer?

Not to worry - there are some simple guidelines to food safety in such a situation.

If the food has been completely thawed or even warmed to room temperature, throw it away. Discard it if it has been out of the refrigerator for over two hours.

If the food has thawed out, but is still cold, it is safest to cook it right away. The cooked foods can either be consumed or put in the refrigerator to eat later.

You may notice ice crystals on your food and if so, it’s okay to freeze it again. If you don’t have a freezer to put it in, make sure to get some dry ice and put it in a cooler. The food will need to be cooked, because it won’t last as long as with a normal freezer.

Anything showing signs of freezer burn are also candidates for immediate disposal.

Sudden power outages cannot be avoided, but there are things you can do to prepare for them.
Getting a new Fridge or freezer is a great idea to save energy and replace that old worn out one, giving your kitchen a new look. If you have the space, you should certainly consider a large American Style fridge freezer. This can make a dramatic change to any kitchen. A broad selection of American refrigerators and freezers is available for viewing at this site.

Learn about Wall Suspending Television Brackets

Sunday, September 7th, 2008

There are quite a few great benefits to wall-suspending a flat panel telly, such as freeing up ground or desk space, but for individuals the principal motive is completely visual - because lets agree, a wall-suspended television appears very beautiful. And the splendour of wall hanging telly is that someone with even the simplest “Do It Yourself” (DIY) knowledge can achieve it.

Splashing out on a a telly bracket, the initial action is to find the proper bracket for your telly. There’s a big amount of brackets to plump from, accessible for Plasma televisions of all shapes, dimensions and weights, thus make sure you’re equipped with your television set’s key figures previous to setting off to the TV shops. Furthermore before purchasing, think about what type of stiffness you will require once the television is hanged, as different classes of LCD television brackets supply differing amounts of lateral movement.

Rigid brackets hold the telly flush to the wall, and don’t let you to alter the horizontal or vertical angle. Their lack of difficulty generally makes them the most cheapest choice, although it can be fiddly to get to rear-suspended sockets. If you are looking for TV brackets, then visit Digital Direct, one of the leading mail order electrical goods providers in the UK.

Tilt brackets, meanwhile, allow you to move the TV screen up or down to change the vertical viewing position, where as ’tilt & swivel’ TV brackets let you tilt the display forward and turn it from side to side.

Small screen Liquid Crystal Display (more universally known as LCD) TVs can in addition be hanged by brackets with more detailed systems for further flexibility, making them just right for kitchen or dinning room fitting. You can buy brackets with an arm that pans from left to right, or ones that tilt, swivel, pan and extend. These allow you to place the screen at any conceivable angle & then push it away with no problems when you are done watching your favourite television show.

Computer Networking Fundamentals

Saturday, September 6th, 2008

A computer network is a collection of two or more computers with communication between them through a medium. The communication medium can be through radio waves, wires, infrared, optical fibers etc.

Computer network is an integral part of our daily lives, with the most important reason being that of communication. The use of computer networking is to share resources like fax machines, printers, modems, files etc., and its other uses are database server, computer server, email, chat, internet etc. The computer to which the resources are attached is called the server and the other computers that access the resource are called clients. In peer-to-peer computer networks there are no servers.

The sharing of fax machines, printers, and modems amongst many computers and users reduce the operational cost. A database on a computer network is a very important application as it stores and runs many important data and jobs. Emails and chats can be used for instantaneous communication and sending of files on a computer network.

The computer networks are classified, depending upon the size, as Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), Metropolitan Area Networks (MAN) and Personal Area Networks (PAN). The topology (topology is the way the computer networks and network resources are connected) of the networking can be classified as Bus Network, Ring Network and Star Network.

The networking hardware basically consists of wiring, network cards and a hub. Computer network cards are required so that one computer can understand what the other computer is “talking”. Network cards have a unique MAC address to identify computers on a computer network. Hubs connect all the computers in the network. Hubs can also be used to connect to other hubs to increase the size of the computer network. Two computers can be connected using Ethernet cards or phone lines or power lines for communication, with hardware kits available at roughly a cost of $100.

As the number of computers in an office or a home increases, so do the number of cables, so wireless networking is a viable solution. In wireless networking radio transreceivers or infrared signals are used to communicate between computers and devices. Examples of wireless networking include Wi-fi and Bluetooth technology, though there may be security issues involved in wireless networking. However there definitely is a stronger preference towards wireless networking nowadays among consumers.

Computer networks have added a new dimension to the 21st century. Today the cyber world is much faster and wider than the real world. This has all been made possible due to computer networks. Computer networks have revolutionized business, communication, travel, research, defense, society and almost all human endeavors. The evolution of computer networks has helped the technological revolution take a big leap forward.
