Are Gas Cars Ever Going to Go away?
Sunday, December 25th, 2011Most people don’t care enough about the environment to give up their gas cars. Those same people don’t really know what going green means and some don’t want to know. The reason is that most people have become attached to what they see as the safety blanket known as gasoline. They can’t imagine going out in a car that needs to be plugged into an electric socket to be charged, even though this is a positive solution to the problem. The reason is that those people have had some very unpleasant memories of what happens to machinery that needs to be charged. They also think there will not be enough push behind the engine and it won’t give them the power they are looking for. But, in the best of all possible worlds, the end of using petrol is a real possibility.
The start will have to be in countries like England where new experiments seem to be more acceptable than in other parts of the world. Perhaps, in the next decade a community in Europe will be designated alternative engine cars only. That is really not to far fetched since using other types of motor carriers is part of the transportation systems of many communities. If the success of this eco friendly ride whose electricity is drawn from stored solar power works, the end of the bad airs that cause such diseases as lung cancer, emphysema and other cancers might be real.
